Manufacturers of ATVs or all-terrain vehicles are now getting more creative with the types of materials they use for the frame and body of these extreme toys. The cost of titanium is rather expensive and even some 10 speed bicycle frames cost upwards of ,000 due to the increasing price of titanium most of which is attributed to the aerospace defense contractor industry and their use of this precious metal.
Some ATVs have gone to carbon fiber frames and we see much more high-tech plastic on these vehicles than ever before. This means the ATVs will perform better because they weigh less and thus means you'll get more performance for less power. Those who race ATVs are extremely excited about the new materials and the lightness of these vehicles.
All-terrain vehicles that are made out of lightweight materials are fun to race and you can catch quite a bit of an air on them. Of course when you're going that fast and come down that hard you are liable to fall off and break something.
It seems as ATV frames get lighter the number of accidents are increasing because the performance is so greatly enhanced. This tempts the riders like me to go all out and try things they may never have tried before. See Ya! Please consider all this in 2006.
